Modified A line dress; is closely fitted to the body. This dress has a semi long train which flows out on the ground behind you. Since this dress fits so many body types and can be tight fitted or loose. For this reason, the modified A line is one of the most popular wedding looks today.

Ballgown

The Ballgown dress, often known as the fairy tale dress. Generally, tight fitted from the breast down to the skirt. The skirt flares out around the legs, with very little to no train off the back. Generally, this looks best on pear shape, since it hides the lower body. In fact, petite woman should avoid the ballgown dress due to the overwhelmingly large skirt.

The mermaid dress fits tight to the body from breast to knee. This accentuates your breasts & hips. Mermaid style is perfect for smaller framed woman or hourglass shapes, since its perfect for showing off your curves. However, plus size and pear shapes should stay away from this style dress. Due to the long train, this dress could be hard to walk in.

Sheath dress; fits narrow shaped bodies and flow straight down from neckline to feet. Since sheath style is for lean frame and petite woman. This dress has a smaller train there is less fabric to rise. In addition to no train its also made with delicate fabric so it may be harder to keep clean and unwrinkled, so be careful when you take photos!
